Why choose a ceiling light in the bedroom?
A ceiling light plays an important role as the main lighting in your bedroom. It provides even light when making the bed, getting dressed or looking for something in the wardrobe. At the same time, in the evening you want a calmer atmosphere. That is why we put functionality first, without losing the atmospheric feel. Because a ceiling light sits close to the ceiling, it creates a more spacious feel.
What to look for in a bedroom light
The most important thing is to prevent glare. So preferably choose a model where the light source is not directly visible, for example with a fabric shade or opal-white glass, as these spread the light softly and evenly. Also pay attention to the mounting height, especially with a sloping roof or mezzanine. Think about the light output too: in the bedroom, soft light is more cosy than bright lighting. If you want both bright light for tidying and soft light for the evening, a dimmable model is ideal.
Which style suits the bedroom?
Whether you are looking for timeless design with clean lines, a statement piece with a unique look or a modern design with sparkling details, there is a model for every taste. Calm Japandi and Wabi-Sabi models with their soft tones and organic shapes are popular choices for the bedroom. If you have limited ceiling height, a flush ceiling light is a good choice.
Which bulb should you choose?
Most bedroom ceiling lights are suitable for an E27 light source; multi-light models with glass globes often use an E14 or G9 lamp holder. Choose warm white light (around 2700K): it creates a cosy atmosphere and helps you unwind better than cool, bright light. If you want to be able to dim without a separate dimmer, choose a model with a fixed LED that is 3-step dimmable, or a 3-step dimmable light source. The lamp holder type is listed in the product details.
