What is a rechargeable floor lamp?

A rechargeable floor lamp has an integrated battery, so you can place it anywhere without a power lead. That means you're not tied to a plug socket or restricted by where the cables run. It makes it easy to add light where fixed lighting is missing, such as a reading corner, beside the sofa or in a dark corner of the room. When the battery runs low, simply recharge the lamp.

Flexible light where you want it

The biggest advantage is the freedom. Because rechargeable floor lamps are easy to move, you can shift them around as your interior or daily routine changes: today beside the reading chair, tomorrow by the dining table. A full battery gives hours of light with no cables or fixed installation. This type of lamp is also handy for temporary use on the patio or under a canopy. Do check the product details carefully to see whether the model is suitable for outdoor use.

Atmosphere and ease of use

Alongside flexibility, atmosphere plays a big role too. Rechargeable floor lamps give a soft, even light that instantly makes a room feel warmer and more inviting. Many models are dimmable, so you can choose between bright reading light and softer evening light. Some floor lamps combine both: a mains-powered lamp with a removable, rechargeable reading light that you can take with you and place wherever you need it.
