Emergency lighting is essential in any emergency, and this light can be installed in several ways to suit the room. Its cool white light gives excellent visibility, helping everyone evacuate safely. This version is supplied with a wall-mounting kit for fixing to the side of a wall. The housing and diffuser are made from high-quality plastic.
This emergency lighting can be mounted in various ways. You can choose a suspension set for easy mounting on high ceilings, a recessed set for a sleek, integrated installation in a wall or ceiling, or a side wall-mounting set for attaching to walls. Each set offers a practical and safe solution for installing emergency lighting in various environments.
When first switched on, the battery charges for 24 hours. The light then tests itself by running on battery power for three hours. A two-colour indicator shows its status: steady or flashing green means everything is working, while flashing red means there’s a fault.
Every 28 days, the light automatically runs a short two-minute test. It simulates a power cut and checks that the emergency lighting works on battery power. During the test, the indicator flashes green slowly. If there's a fault, it flashes red.
Every 52 weeks, the light runs a full duration test. It simulates a power cut and runs on battery power for the full time, so you can be sure the battery still lasts long enough. During this test, the indicator flashes green quickly. The battery needs to be fully charged for the test to run.
The light can be set to maintained (always on) or non-maintained (on only when needed). When set to maintained, the light stays on all the time, whether or not there’s a power cut. When set to non-maintained, the light only comes on when the mains power fails, then runs on its battery for three hours. Three hours is generally enough time for staff and visitors to leave a building, and it meets the legal requirement.
