When first switched on, the battery charges for 24 hours. The light then tests itself by running on battery power for three hours. A two-colour indicator shows its status: steady or flashing green means everything is working, while flashing red means there’s a fault.
This recessed spotlight only works in non-maintained mode. This means it comes on during a power cut but stays off while it’s running on mains power. It needs a continuous 220–240V supply to keep the built-in batteries charged.
