Why choose cabinet lighting?

Cabinet lighting is ideal when you need a little more light inside your cupboards. Perhaps the main kitchen light does not reach the back of the cupboard, or you cannot quite see what is inside a drawer. With a spotlight inside the cupboard, you can see everything more clearly and find what you need more easily. Cabinet lighting is particularly useful in kitchen and wardrobe cupboards.

Sets or individual parts?

A complete cabinet lighting setup consists of several components, including LED spotlights and a driver, with the option to add a dimmer or sensor. If you need several spotlights, we recommend choosing a set. This is more affordable than buying everything separately, and you have all the necessary components ready to install. If you only need to replace one spotlight or add to an existing setup, take a look at our separate parts.

The models

There are four different LED spotlight designs to choose from: square (Alina), rectangular (Apollo), elongated (Lex) and round (Kaya). Each model is also available with a sensor. Thanks to their slim profile, the spotlights are ideal for mounting underneath kitchen cupboards without standing out. They have a warm white colour temperature of 3000K, combining practical lighting with a warm, atmospheric feel.

Automatic on and off

There are several ways to operate the lighting. With a door sensor, the lights switch on when you open the cupboard door and switch off again when you close it. A motion sensor switches the light on automatically when you move your hand underneath it. This is particularly handy when your hands are full, for example when you are preparing a meal. With a touch dimmer, you can adjust the brightness yourself.

Materials and energy use

All our cabinet lighting is made from aluminium and polycarbonate. The aluminium provides a sturdy frame, while the polycarbonate cover sits over the LED, allowing the light to shine through while keeping the fitting protected.

All models have integrated LED lighting. LEDs use 90% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs and 85% less than halogen lamps. They also help distribute the light more evenly, while less energy is lost as heat. This is particularly useful when the lights are installed close to clothing or next to wooden kitchen cupboards.

Installing it yourself

Installing cabinet lighting is relatively straightforward. First, choose where you want to position the spotlights. Then secure the lights with the included screws. We deliberately use screw mounting rather than adhesive, as it is more secure and durable.

Finally, route the cables neatly, for example through a small opening in the cupboard, and connect all the cables to the driver.
