All of our festoon belts come standard with sealing rings. Our loose E27 sockets also come standard with sealing rings. Purchasing loose sealing rings is therefore not necessary unless you would like to replace old, or lost sealing rings. Our sealing rings are compatible with sockets provided by other suppliers.
Please note: When you use sockets from other suppliers, our rubber rings won't guarantee an IP44 socket. Several sockets from other providers have appeared to be not fully water-resistant. With our rubber ring, the fitting will be secure at the bottom, but water can still leak through at the top of the fitting (where the socket is mounted on the cable).
When using sockets from other suppliers, we would advise you to test your sockets by blowing into the empty sockets to see if any air escapes. If air escapes the socket, then water can creep into the socket as well, meaning it won’t be suitable for outdoor use (even when using our loose sealing rings).
