Complete freedom
With a festoon cable without bulb sockets, you get just the cable, with a moulded plug at one end and an end cap at the other. In combination with our separate bulb sockets, you decide where to position the bulb sockets on the festoon cable and how many you need.
When do you choose this?
This is a good option when standard spacing does not suit your setup. For example, if the cable runs around a corner, along a pergola with fixed beams, or if you want more bulbs above the table and fewer further along the cable. It is also useful if you need an unusual length or want to create a particular effect with suspended bulb sockets. Looking for a festoon cable with a long connection lead, for example? With a cable without bulb sockets, you can create this yourself by simply placing the first bulb socket further along the cable, wherever you need it.
No electrical knowledge needed
Our products are designed so that anyone can get started with them, even without electrical experience. You simply push the bulb sockets onto the cable yourself, wherever you want them. You will find bulb sockets with an Allen cap and bulb sockets with screws, in black and white. Do not forget the sealing rings: they help protect the connection against moisture.
The cable
This robust rubber festoon cable has proven itself over the years and is available in lengths of 3, 5, 7.5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 50, 100 and 200 metres. A moulded plug is fitted to the festoon cable, with an end cap at the other end. The cable is made from high-quality rubber with 2 x 1.5 mm² copper wiring and has an IP44 rating.
Pay attention to the load
When choosing and extending your cable, make sure you do not exceed the maximum permitted load: the bulb sockets can handle a maximum of 15W each, while the festoon cables can handle a maximum total wattage of 2300W. Attach the cable with a mounting set or cable ties, and not by the end cap. You can also take a look at other festoon lighting parts, such as connectors and separate plugs. Finish your self-assembled cable with our warm white or coloured bulbs.
