Why choose a black track?

Black is by far the most popular colour in our lighting tracks range. Against a white ceiling, the track creates a sleek, striking accent, while on a dark ceiling or with dark beams, it blends quietly into the background. Most of our track spotlights also come in black, so the track and spotlights look like one seamless design.

With or without a connection block

The tracks come in connectable versions of 75 cm, with or without a connection block. If you already have a system up and want to extend it, choose a track without a connection block and join it with a connector. If you are starting from scratch, you need one track with a connection block for the power connection. End caps, connectors and connection blocks are sold separately in our accessories range, and of course they're available in black too.

Cutting to size and fitting

The track can be cut to any length with a hacksaw and mitre box, which is handy if you want it to fit exactly between two walls or along a beam. It comes with pre-drilled holes for easy installation, and you can also drill extra holes yourself if needed. Please note that the track is 3.4 cm wide. If the junction box in your ceiling is wider than the track, choose a square cover plate for a neat finish. Need help connecting it? Take a look at our track lighting manual.
