Why choose a black pendant light?
Black is one of the most popular colours for lighting, and for good reason. Its neutral tone makes a black pendant light easy to combine with other colours and materials in your interior. How do you hang a black pendant light?
Our pendant lights are mains-powered and connect to a fixed wiring point in the ceiling, such as a ceiling rose. First, switch off the power to the circuit you're connecting the light to and check it's definitely off with a voltage tester. Then fix the mounting bracket to the ceiling, connect the wires in the terminal block and screw the light onto the bracket. Tighten everything securely, fit the bulb and switch the power back on to check it all works. If you're unsure about the wiring, call in a qualified electrician.
Which light source suits a black pendant light?
Most of our black pendant lights are fitted with an E27 lampholder, and you'll also find models with an E14, G9 or GU10 lampholder. For a cosy atmosphere in the living or dining room, choose warm white light (around 2700K). If the light source is visible, a filament bulb looks striking against the black fitting.
